Learn more about working at Research Medical Center: Administrative Assistant Position Summary: GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES (The essential responsibilities and accountabilities of this position including interactions with other departments and outside vendors, if applicable, in PRIORITY order.) Coordinates and communicates projects within the Nursing Department related to clinical, personnel management, quality, and fiscal initiatives. Creates and revises systems and procedures by reviewing operating practices; analyzing data, evaluating personnel and technological requirements; recommending changes. Facilitates the work of teams by scheduling meetings, preparing materials, running effective meetings. Resolves administrative problems by analyzing information; identifying and communicating solutions. Maintains rapport with customers, managers, and employees by developing new services and methods; setting priorities; resolving problem situations and continuous follow up. Maintains continuity of work operations within Nursing by documenting and communicating needed actions to management; and identifying opportunities for improvement. Supports Nursing Administration by scheduling meetings, preparing reports, presentations and meeting minutes. Assists Nursing Administration to research, develop, and update Nursing policies, procedures, methods, and guidelines; communicating developments to directors, managers and staff. Completes administrative projects by identifying and implementing new technology and resources; redesigning systems; recommending re-deployment of designated resources. Performs other duties as assigned in accordance with departmental standards and within agreed upon timeframes. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Education : Bachelor's Degree Preferred Skils : Organizational Astuteness, Process Management, Process Improvement, Reporting Skills, Change Management, Coaching, Customer Relations, Innovation Support, Standards Development, Administrative Writing Skills and working knowledge of multiple office software products.
